VT Schedule

I think that is why the SEC and ACC play their Conference Championship games where they do...to have a "neutral field"...lol...not to mention an NFL stadium...if only the ACC could fill one for a change...lol

Regardless of where SEC and ACC territory begins and ends VT has rescheduled it's game with Cincy and awaits an SEC opponent to play them in the GA Dome be it Bama, Auburn, or maybe even UT will stop refusing to play and step to the plate. Heck, win or lose it beats the heck out of Western Podunk Hollow!

No different than Miami scheduling Florida & Texas A&M this year. Except both are away, and in weeks separated by an open date. No neutral sites, no spreading the games out, etc...

Plus--if someone new to the conversation read the above, it'd look like they were playing all 4 of those teams in a single season...way to spin it.

if that were the case, you'd have to be an idiot to think "Bama/UT/Auburn" was the same thing as "Bama, UT, Auburn"

there's no spin to it...one of those teams plus Nebraska...don't make it something it is not

If Va Tech were to actually put together a tougher schedule like that then all the debate would pretty much be over because once they did, their record would fall to 9-3 or 8-4 and would be in a mid-level bowl where they belong instead of beating up on the JMU's of the world and finishing 11-1 or 10-2 and getting that ass whipped in BCS Bowls where they don't belong. If they were to finish 10-2, 11-1, or 12-0 with a record like that for a few seasons then I would definately respect them and wouldn't biatch about their schedule. At least they are trying, no argument there.

Would love to see a home/home with Tenn/Va Tech. Playing at the race track is stupid. It would be like sitting on top of KFC and watching Powell Valley play. Tenn has had home/home with UCLA, Cal, Notre Dame, Miami within the last 10 seasons. Upcoming series with Oklahoma. Maybe we'll step up to the plate and play Furman next year.

Well, UT has been approached on more than one occasion to play VT and has turned it down, and this outside the BMS. It's also looking as though VT can push a game at Cincy, a BCS school, back to 2012 but an SEC team can't or won't push back a game to play them. As far as biaching about VT's schedule, Wiscy had a series scheduled and canceled, Auburn has been approached, PSU has as well as OSU. So what do you do? Heck, if your own team, UT, won't schedule a home & home why are you complaining about VT's schedule?
